1999 ATHLETES OF THE YEAR
Kyle Wilder Nichols attends Albany High School and has had success in the areas of football, wrestling and soccer. In addition to his long list of athletic accomplishments, including multiple letters during all four years of high school, Kyle was also chosen to be a Senior Superlative, was voted "Most Athletic", and was a Golden Herald Nominee.

Tim Dunn is the Athlete of the Year for Byne Memorial Bapttst School. Tim has lettered in both basketball and baseball during all four years of his high school career. He also received several athletic awards while attending Byne Memorial Baptist School. Tim's grade point average is an outstanding 3.7.

Jason Sorel is a senior at Deerfield-Windsor School. He has excelled in soccer, basketball and track during his senior year. Jason was named an all-region and all-state performer in soccer, as well as an all-region performer in basketball. He is the defending regional champion in the 1600M run in the area of track. Along with his talent in the forementioned sports, Jason is good student and is a leader for his school.

Thomie M. Venisee A student at Dougherty Comprehensive High School, Thomie M. Venisee has enjoyed a lustrous four-year career in the areas of football, basketball, track and baseball. His academic achievements include induction into Who's Who Among High School Students, Golden Herald Award Nominee, Honor Student and membership in several academic school organizations.

Lawrence Johnson attends Monroe Comprehensive High School. His achievements in sports are in the areas of football and track, with numerous honors and awards having been earned in each. Lawrence is also a Golden Herald Award Winner, was voted "Best All Around", "Most Athletic", and "Most Attractive" at his school.

Hayes Cook is a senior at Sherwood Christian Academy and has a long list of accomplishments in football, basketball and baseball. A few of his honors include Baseball Team MVP, 1998; Basketball Team Best Defensive Player Award, 1997-98 and 1998- 99; and Football Team MVP, 1998.

Natalie Dorsey A senior at Westover High School, Natalie is talented in the areas of cross country running, track and swimming. Natalie has lettered several times in each of these sports during her four years at Westover High School. In addition to these accomplishments, Natalie is also president of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a Hosanna Choir member, and a member of BETA Club.
